When Should Inspections be Performed on a Commercial Roof?
The National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) recommends inspections be performed at least once a year. Inspections in the Midwest should be done in the months when the roofs are clear of snow & ice. Spring is a great time to assess any damage that might have occurred over winter, and fall inspections should be done to make any repairs needed before snow & ice cause additional problems.
Maintenance work as a result of an inspection includes cleaning the roof system of natural debris, clearing all gutters and waterways,assessing vulnerable points in the roof system & making repairs to ensure that there are no leaks in the future.
